Sioux Falls, SD - University of Sioux Falls head women’s basketball coach Travis Traphagen is pleased to announce the addition of 5’11 guard Laura Johnson from Cedar Falls, Iowa to the 2009-2010 recruiting class. “Laura Johnson is one of those types of players that can step on the floor and be a difference maker” Traphagen said.

As a junior, Johnson averaged 14.4 points per game for Cedar Falls H.S. and was named all-district, all-region and second team all-state. Johnson’s 82 career three point conversions is a school record. “She has the capabilities to score from anywhere and also make everyone around her a better player because of her presence” Traphagen noted of Johnson.

“I really need to thank my staff for all the long hours put in during her recruitment” Traphagen added.

The Cougars will begin their season on Tuesday, November 3rd at Dakota State University in Madison, SD at 7:00 p.m.
