USF secures home court advantage, sweeps Lancers

Sioux Falls, SD - Sioux Falls, S.D. (October 31, 2009) – The University of Sioux Falls Cougars secures home court advantage for the first round of the GPAC volleyball tournament with a 3-0 win over Mount Marty. The win marks the team’s third in a row, each coming in three sets.

The Cougars dominated the three game match with scores of 25-12, 25-13 and 25-20. Amber Sneller led Sioux Falls with 11 kills. She added nine digs and seven assists. Samantha Haffke tallied 23 assists and seven digs. Rachel Heeney totaled 15 digs in the afternoon.

Sioux Falls finishes the regular season with an 18-18 (6-10 GPAC) record. The Cougars will host a first round match against Midland Luthern College (8-17 overall, 4-12 GPAC) on Wednesday, November 4. First serve will be at 7:30 p.m.
