USF’s Genevieve Gregory Named GPAC Defensive Player of the Week

Sioux Falls, SD - University of Sioux Falls defender Genevieve Gregory (Sioux Falls, S.D.) is this week’s Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference defensive player of the week for soccer.The sophomore has contributed to USF’s eight shut outs this season, including two last week. Gregory was all over the field defensively in 1-0 victories over Northwestern College and Concordia University (Neb.), as the Cougars clinched a fifth place seed in the GPAC playoffs. Despite being a defender, Gregory has spent limited time on the offensive side of the ball this season, totaling three assists and eight shots on goal.
USF will start the GPAC playoffs on the road against fourth seed Hastings College (12-3-3 overall, 7-2-3 GPAC)on Thursday, November 5 at 7:00 p.m.
