Sioux Falls, SD - University of Sioux Falls head women’s soccer coach Mekonnen Afa is proud to announce the signing of Jami Kuta of Millard West High School in Omaha, Neb.

“We are very excited that Jami will be joining our team, she plays for a very competitive club program in the Omaha area” Afa said. “We look for Jami to bring some of that competitiveness that will add strength to our forwards.”

Kuta helped the MWHS Wildcats to a state title her junior year and also helped her club team, Toro Deportivo, to runner-up finishes twice at the state competition. Kuta is also a varsity member of her high school golf team. Kuta is a standout student as well, holding a 3.4 grade point average and being named to the academic honor roll.

The Cougars return nine of 11 starters from last year’s 10-8-1 team that finished fifth in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
