Sioux Falls, SD - University of Sioux Falls head men’s basketball coach Chris Johnson is pleased to announce that Landon Braun of Rosholt, S.D. will be joining the program.

“Landon has a great future and a ton of potential” said Johnson. “He can really move and run for a guy his size.”

Braun is a 6’8” 200 lbs. forward/center who started for all four years for the Raiders, averaging 18 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks per game.

“Landon fits our system and he comes from a tremendously successful high school background, which we feel is very important” Johnson added. “He is a tremendous student and young man as well.”

Over Braun’s career he was named all-conference four times, was named conference MVP his senior season, and earned all-state recognition in both basketball and football for his junior and senior season.

Braun joins an already talented class of recruits and is the third player from South Dakota, joining Alex Robey of Sioux Falls and Derek Brown of Clark.

The Cougars return four of five starters from last year’s Sweet 16 team that posted a 25-10 overall record.
