Blake Stevenson Joins USF Distance Program

Sioux Falls, SD - University of Sioux Falls Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Gene Brooks is pleased to announce Blake Stevenson as the latest addition to the 2010-2011 recruiting class.


Stevenson is a 2010 graduate of Aberdeen Central High School in South Dakota, where he was a three sport athlete in track and field, cross country and basketball. He recorded a personal best of 2:00 minutes in the 800 meter run and also qualified for the South Dakota State High School Cross Country Championships several times. Stevenson was a member of the Golden Eagle’s all-conference sprint medley team as a junior and senior.


Stevenson also excelled in the classroom, earning academic all-state honors in all three sports, is a Regent’s Scholar and is the recipient of the President’s Award for Educational Excellence. Stevenson intends to major in Education at USF.


Stevenson is the fifth member of the 2010 men’s distance recruiting class, joining Billy and Bobby Brockmueller of Brandon Valley, S.D., Bobby Menzi of Glen Gardner, N.J., and Grant Vlasin of Seward, Neb.
