2011: Earned second-team GPAC honors as the ace of the Cougars' staff, going 5-3 with a 2.88 ERA in 65.2 innings of work...racked up 53 strikeouts and held opposing hitters to a .236 batting average...Made first appearance with 1.0 scoreless innings of relief in 7-3 win vs. Saint Mary (3/6)...earned first win of the season with seven inning complete game effort, allowing one earned run on two hits with six strikeouts and four walks in 3-1 victory over MidAmerica Nazarene (3/7)...picked up second win against Mount Marty (3/30), twirling 6.1 innings and allowing three earned runs on four hits with seven strikeouts and five walks in 6-4 victory against the Lancers... No decision at Concordia (Calif.), went 5.2 innings and allowed six runs on five hits with four strikeouts and five walks in 12-6 loss (3/22)...Improved to 3-0 and threw a seven inning complete game shut-out while striking out six in 6-0 win over Briar Cliff (4/3)...hurled 3.0 innings and gave up two runs and four hits in 7-1 loss against South Dakota State University (4/6)... gave the Cougars a quality start in a no-decision against Doane College, went 6.1 innings and allowed one run (unearned) on eight hits with three strikeouts and three walks (4/9)...No decision versus Midland, tossing 4.0 innings and giving up no runs on five hits with a pair of strikeouts in 9-1 loss (4/12)...Picked up fourth win with a stellar outing against Nebraska Wesleyan, going 6.0 innings and allowing one earned run on four hits with seven strikeouts and one walk in 3-1 victory (4/17)...moved to 5-1 with a complete game, 8.0 extra inning effort with six strikeouts and no walks in 4-3 win versus Concordia (Neb.) (4/23)...went 5.2 innings, giving up seven runs on six hits with three strikeouts in 7-5 loss to Northwestern (4/28)...No decision in Cougars' first round GPAC tournament win against Doane College, threw 6.0 innings with four runs on seven hits with six strikeouts and three walks in 5-4 victory (5/5)...threw two innings of relief and took the loss in USF's GPAC tournament semifinal against Hastings, allowing five runs (none earned) on four hits with three walks and two strikeouts. 

2010: appeared in 16 games for the Cougars, going 2-3 and recording 25 strikeouts.

2009: Made 15 appearances as a freshman (41.2 IP) and went 0-1 with 25 strikeouts while limiting batters to just a .241 clip.

Prep: competed in football, baseball and wrestling for Parkston High School...member of National Honor Society and FCA. Personal: son of Lenny and Deb Nolz...has three siblings, Tyler, Amy and Tanna... elementary education major, coaching minor...wants to be a teacher and a coach...says that he can read teammate Mark Vig's mind.
