2015: Fischer will serve as an assistant coach after a starring for the Cougars as a pitcher.
2013 (JUNIOR): Made 11 starts and went 5-8 with a 3.23 ERA in a team-high 75.1 innings pitched with 79 strikeouts to just 22 walks, opponents hit just .243 against him…owned the 14th-best ERA in the NSIC…while ranking third in the league with 79 K’s…was also third in the league with 29 punch-outs…ranked seventh in the NSIC in total appearances (15)…picked off three runners over the course of the season… earned NSIC Pitcher of the Week certificate for SMSU and Minot State series after going 2-0 with a save as he allowed a single earned run in 14.2 total innings (0.61 ERA)… capped his junior campaign with complete game against Winona State (5/3) as he allowed just four hits and one earned run while fanning 10 in a 4-2 USF victory…also went 1-for-2 at the plate with one RBI.
2012 (SOPHOMORE): Entered the 2012 season as a relative unknown, but that quickly changed as he compiled a team-best 5-3 record over 12 starts en route to an ERA of 3.57...finished third on the team with 33 strikeouts over 45.1 innings of work.
2011 (FRESHMAN): Impressive rookie campaign, posting a 4-1 record in nine appearances; 32 strikeouts in 41.2 innings, 6.05 ERA…went the distance and picked up first career win against McPherson College (3/12), allowing two runs on nine hits with eight strikeouts and no walks…tossed 8.0 innings versus Cal State San-Marcos (3/23), giving up four runs on 14 hits to earn second win of the season, a 7-6 verdict…tossed 5.0 innings in 15-13 win over Morningside, allowing eight runs on five hits with four strikeouts…made a relief appearance against South Dakota State (4/6), giving up three runs on four hits in 1.0 inning of work…posted fourth win in 7-2 victory at Dordt (4/27), allowing two runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and three walks…had a no decision in 13-8 win at Dakota Wesleyan, surrendering six runs on nine hits…finished rookie campaign with a no decision in 14-13 loss to Hastings College in GPAC tournament elimination game, allowing seven runs on 12 hits in 6.1 innings.
HIGH SCHOOL: product of Brandon Valley High School...played baseball, football and basketball for the Lynx...member of the 2010 1st Team All-Region..also garnered 1st Team All-State honors...participated in senior leadership.
