2011: Saw action in six games last season, ultimately earning the starting QB role after beginning the year in the number two spot... played integral part in USF's late comeback and nearly upset at FCS, D-I McNeese State (La.) where he picked up 44 yards on the ground, 146 through the air, and one touchdown (9/17)... missed two games following injury suffered during fourth quarter of McNeese game... resumed play against Black Hills (10/15) and received first start one week later for USF's homecoming game, when he had arguably his best game rushing for 58 yards and two touches, while tossing 4 TDs (10/22), one of which held up as the longest play from scrimmage in 2011 (52 yard TD pass to Oates)... threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns in USF's last second loss at then FCS No.25 University of North Dakota (11/4)... completed 51.4% of passes to total 823 passing yards and 11 TDs on the year... finished with passer rating of 146.1... had team's third highest rushing total with 222 yards and two TDs, as well as USF's longest run of the year, a 40 yard scramble versus Minot State (10/29).
New Mexico St. Univ.: Redshirted for the Aggies in 2010...
Mesa Community College (Meza, Ariz.): Threw for 2,955 yards and 16 touchdowns, and rushed for 685 yards and 6 touchdowns...played in the JC All-American game, going 12-19 with 196 yards.
High School: Three-year letterman and a two-year captain at Red Mountain High School in (Mesa, Ariz.)...currently has the highest winning percentage of any quarterback in RMHS history...all-District, all-State, and an honorable mention selection...finished with 2,900 passing yards and 20 touchdowns, and 855 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. Also competed in track & field, receiving all-state recognition for long jumping. Three-year academic honor roll and National Honor Society member.
