2013 (JUNIOR): Everyday third baseman for the Cougars, making 42 starts…posted offensive numbers of .228/.298/.279…notched his first home run for USF on 4/28 against Concordia-St. Paul…posted a .957 fielding percentage…credited with 66 putouts while only making 6 errors.

2012 (SOPHOMORE): Made 12 starts for the Cougars...tallied two hits and posted first collegiate RBI at Cal State-San Marcos on 3/20...swiped two bases...credited with five putouts and 18 assists with no errors for 1.000 fielding percentage.

2011: Attended San Diego City College (non-student athlete).

HIGH SCHOOL: played baseball, football and ice hockey for the Newark HS (Del.) Yellowjackets...member of the Delaware All-League Baseball team (Blue Hen Flight A) as a senior utility infielder...honor roll student.

PERSONAL: Son of Dan and Debbie Varner...has two older brothers, Justin (29) and Geoff (25)...pre-medicine major, history minor...goal to be an orthopedic surgeon or to train professional athletes ...ambidextrous...likes to wakeboard...favorite athlete is Eric Chavez.
