2013 (JUNIOR): Split time between No. 2 and No. 3 singles…compiled a record of 3-13 (2-10 NSIC)…five of those 13 losses were in a tiebreak…ended her singles season on positive note with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Minnesota Duluth’s Kara Saemann…went 1-2 in No. 2 doubles.
2012 (SOPHOMORE): Split time between No. 1 and No. 2 singles...went 1-10 overall, notching a singles win during the Cougars' NCAA Division II transitional season... edged Bemidji’s Greenwaldt (7-6, 7-5) in first flight singles on Feb. 18…dropped back-to-back three setters at the University of Mary and MSU-Moorhead…went 5-6 in doubles play but shined with teammate Julia Iversen, as the tandem went 5-2 in second flight doubles, including fours wins versus future NSIC opponents (Bemidji State, Mary, MSU-Moorhead and Minnesota-Duluth).
2011 (FRESHMAN): Solid freshman campaign...saw action at the No. 2 and No. 3 singles position and earned first team all-GPAC honors for no. 2 singles play...earned both singles and doubles victories in the Cougars' 8-1 match win versus Hastings College (4/17)...dropped Przymus of Morningside, 6-3, 6-1...also defeated Morningside's Przymus and Jahn, 9-7 with doubles partner Molly Seigenthaler...topped Korver of Northwestern (5/2) in three sets, 6-0, 0-6, 10-7...alongside partner Sieve, blanked Summers & Yorchak of Northwestern, 8-0...also a member of the USF volleyball team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in tennis and volleyball at Valley HS...three-time all conference selection in volleyball, twice named to the first team all-district volleyball squad...volleyball second team all-state...Silver Chord award recipient (volunteer work)...Des Moines Register Dean's List.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Ben and Joan Hussey...has two sisters, Colette and Allison ...nursing major, volunteers at Trauma 5 and the Sanford NICU...goal is to become a physician's assistant...grew up in McKinney, Texas.
