Pendrys Named Sports Information Coordinator
"We are delighted that Stephanie has accepted our offer to become the sports information coordinator at USF," said Sanchez. "She has a broad range of experiences that will be very beneficial in raising the profile of Cougar athletics and she will be a wonderful addition to the USF community."
Pendrys, who begins her new duties on July 1, will be responsible for media, public relations and social media for USF's 15 intercollegiate sports and the www.usfcougars.com website.
Prior to USF, Pendrys served as the marketing and public relations manager for the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona from 2008 to 2010. She also had stints as the marketing manager for the Carolinas PGA and public relations assistant for the Family Circle Cup, the oldest women's professional tennis event in America. Pendrys also interned with the Charlotte Bobcats and the South Carolina Boxing Commission.
During her time with the Carolinas PGA, the organization received the 2007 National Herb Graffis Award for extraordinary efforts in growth of the game marketing efforts.
Pendrys is a native of Houghton Lake, Mich. She holds an MBA from USF and a master's of mass communications degree from the University of South Carolina. In 2004, Pendrys graduated with a bachelor's degree in history and English from Albion College (Mich.), where she competed in track and field and lacrosse.
