Cougars Place Eight on USTFCCCA All-Region Squad

The University of Sioux Falls track and field program placed eight student-athletes on the Central All-Region team for the 2012-13 outdoor track and field season, announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Friday afternoon.

The top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region's top three earned all-region honors.

On the men's side, Billy Brockmueller and Bobby Brockmueller were recognized for the 10,000m and 1500m races, while Jagger Gran and Scott Greenman earned all-region plaudits for the pole vault event.

For the women's group, USF’s four all-region selections consisted of  Jazzelena Black, for the long and triple jump, as well as Brigitte Gross, Kayla Coffee and Kristin Majerus for the pole vault event.

All eight of these student-athletes also earned indoor all-region honors. USF, who finished fourth on both sides at the Northern Sun Conference Outdoor Championships, will be represented by Black, Coffee, Gran, Greenman, Gross and Majerus at the NCAA Outdoor Championships May 23-25.
