The USF women’s soccer team hosted Lindenwood University on Sunday and was defeated by a score of 3-0.

The Lions took the lead early and never looked back. Lindenwood’s Bailey Cody would net a hat trick for the Lions, having all three of her goals set up by teammate Davah Bruce.

The Cougars had opportunities to put points on the board, but were unable to convert on any of their six shots on goal. Maria Gonzalez would record two SOG for USF.

Senior goalkeeper Corrin Cook would also record four saves for the Cougars.

The loss drops the Cougars to 0-4 on the season. Next up for USF is a NSIC match against U-Mary on Saturday, September 21. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m. at the USF Sports Complex.
