Strength and Conditioning
Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide the athlete with an ultimate training experience by developing the body, the mind and the spirit for peak physical performance. This is done through scientifically based program design, developing sound relationships, and stressing a servant mentality. Our end gain is a well rounded student athlete that has received the utmost out of their genetic potential and greatly reduced their risk of injury, while being prepared for Christian service.
Philosophy
The philosophy of the program is broken down into four separate Three-Dimensional areas and an equally important fifth area, all of which are equally important and intertwined with each other. We value the importance both psychologically and physically of ensuring that an athlete is able to participate and not be in the training room. The utilization of training for function and movement helps reduce the risk of injury and maximize performance (See the links at the bottom of the page for a more in-depth look at USF's Strength and Conditioning Philosophy).
