Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
A student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and polices that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses.
• To generate a student-athlete voice within the department and the institution.
• To discuss issues and develop recommendations to enhance student-athlete well-being on campus.
• To solicit student-athlete response to proposed NCAA legislation or conference legislation.
• To organize service efforts to promote a positive image in the community.
Two representatives from each sport are nominated by each head coach. Upon acceptance of the nomination, they become members of the USF Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
a. Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Members shall be enrolled full-time at the University of Sioux Falls and maintain athletic eligibility in order to remain a member of USF’s SAAC.
b. Attendance at monthly meetings is required. The SAAC advisor may determine excused / unexcused absences on an individual basis.
