Greetings from Cougar Athletics,

Since becoming an athletic administrator, the summer months tend to be a time of reflection. As many students make summer plans on where they will live and work and how they will improve themselves for the next athletic calendar, seniors face a more important decision where they will begin their post-graduate lives.

Whether graduates will continue their educations or begin their careers, it is the role of the Universityf to prepare them for success after college. Cougar Athletics play an important role in that development and no change better reflects the University's mission than when impressionable freshman graduate as purpose-driven seniors. Equipped with lessons learned in the classroom and on the field of competition, they set out to begin their professional and personal lives. The Athletic department's role in the development process of student athletes is growing more difficult as the cost of running a successful athletic program continues to increase. To help Cougar Athletics continue to provide opportunities for student athletes, we have reinvented TEAM USF. We are confident that the new program will generate greater opportunities in the development of successful student athletes.
