The University of Sioux Falls is a member of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), one of the top conferences in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The GPAC consists of 12 Christian-based schools located in South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa.
Home Field Advantage
USF plays its home football, soccer and track events at the Sanford Health Sports Complex, located at 6200 S. Cliff Avenue. Having opened in the Fall of 2007, it currently seats 5,600 for football games. The track & field complex and soccer fields can sit up to about 400 specators.
Basketball, volleyball and wrestling are all held at the Stewart Center, which is located on the corner of 26th Street and Menlo Avenue. It can seat more than 2,000 people and provides an electric atmosphere, especially when GPAC rivals come into town.
Baseball plays it's games at Harmondon Park (41st Street and Highway 11), and softball's home is Sherman Park (12th Street and Kiwanis Avenue). Tennis calls McKennan Park (2nd Avenue and East 26th Street) home. The golf teams can usually be found at Elmwood Golf Course (Russell Street and North Kiwanis Avenue).
