University of Sioux Falls head coach Jed Stugart is proud announce the signing of Garrett Shutt of Reno, Nev. The 6’3, 195 lbs. receiver helped the Galena Grizzlies to an 8-5 overall record on their way to a Nevada Regional Final appearance.

University of Sioux Falls sophomore forward Betsy Hildreth (Norwalk, Iowa) is one of 29 finalists for the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-America team.

3/9/10 M. Basketball - USF to Play No. 1 Walsh University in Sweet 16
The University of Sioux Falls enjoyed a 69-65 victory over No. 16 Grandview University this morning in the first round of the NAIA DII Basketball Tournament, but the Cougars also set themselves up for a date with NAIA No.1 Walsh University (29-2 overall) of North Canton, Ohio.
3/9/10 M. Basketball - USF Advances to Sweet 16 of the NAIA Basketball Tournament
The University of Sioux Falls and Grand View University both held substantial leads, but the Cougars were able to close the gap on the Viking’s lead in the second half to force overtime, fitting for the No. 16, USF, and No. 17 teams in the NAIA.

The University of Sioux Falls men’s and women’s tennis teams both lost 9-0 to a tough Carleton College in Lakeville, MN Saturday. Carleton College is ranked in the latest NCAA Division III polls.
3/6/10 Wrestling - USF Wrestling Wraps up at NAIA Nationals
The University of Sioux Falls wrestling team finished competition today at the 2010 NAIA Wrestling National Championships held in Oklahoma City, Okla. USF took six wrestlers to the national tournament, a record number for the program that started in 2006.
3/6/10 M. Track & Field - NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships: Final Day
On the final day of the 2010 NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships, the University of Sioux Falls had many great performances and several Cougars earned All-Americans awards. The women performed well enough to move up to eighth place, the best finish for USF in recent history.

Competition continued today at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Johnson City, Tenn., with University of Sioux Falls sophomore pole vaulter Kayla Friesen (Alliance, Neb.) highlighting the day with runner-up honors.

In the first day of the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championship held in Johnson City, Tenn., USF had several great performances, including a school-record run by the women’s 4x400 team.

The NAIA No. 17 University of Sioux Falls (24-9 overall) drew No. 16 Grandview University (25-7 overall) in their first round match-up of the NAIA National Tournament, held at Point Lookout, Mo. March 10-16.
