Kalen DeBoer Resigns as Head Football Coach, Ryan Grubb Named Interim Kalen DeBoer has resigned as the head football coach at the University of Sioux Falls to become the offensive coordinator at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill. Offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb will be promoted to interim head coach and will be included in the pool of candidates in the search that will begin immediately. |

Kalen DeBoer named 2009 AFCA NAIA Coach of the Year University of Sioux Falls head football coach Kalen DeBoer is the 2009 American Football Coaches Association NAIA Coach of the Year, as announced by the AFCA Tuesday afternoon. It is the third AFCA Coach of the Year Award for DeBoer, also receiving the award in 2006 and 2008. DeBoer was also the Region 4 NAIA Coach of the Year in 2006, 2007 and 2009. |
