The University of Sioux Falls is pleased to announce the promotion of Jenny Schneider to Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach. Schneider served as the Assistant Head Coach of the Cougar men’s and women’s golf teams during the 2010 spring golf season.

University of Sioux Falls senior men’s golfer Tom Thompson (Kimball, S.D.) has been named Great Plains Athletic Conference honorable mention, released by the conference office Friday afternoon.

In the fourth and final GPAC qualifying event, held at Prairie Green Golf Course (Par 72, 7,085 Yards) in Sioux Falls today, the University of Sioux Falls men’s golf team finished in a tie for third place with Northwestern College (321) and ended up fifth overall for the season (1,286).

The University of Sioux Falls men’s golf team won their first tournament of the season today at the Dana Invite held in Blair, Neb. USF shot a season-best 294, edging Northwestern College by four strokes and defeating all other Great Plains Athletic Conference squads at the tournament.

After the third Great Plains Athletic Conference qualifier held at Firethorn Golf Course (PAR 71/6,841 YARDS) in Lincoln, Neb. today, the University of Sioux Falls men’s golf team remains in fifth place in the conference standings.

University of Sioux Falls senior Tom Thompson is this week’s Hauff Mid-American Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office Wednesday evening.

The University of Sioux Falls men’s golf team finished tied for third at the Morningside Invitational held at Whispering Creek Golf Club (PAR 72/6535 Yards) in Sioux City, Iowa. USF (307) tied Morningside College and was edged by Dordt College (306) and tournament champion Dana (304).

The University of Sioux Falls is proud to announce the hiring of Jenny Schneider as the assistant head golf coach. Schneider will aid in the recruitment efforts, practice organization, fundraising and all other aspects that will continue the advancement of the USF men’s and women’s golf program.

Fighting rainy and windy conditions all day, the University of Sioux Falls men’s golf team persevered and ended up with the second best team score (328) at the second and final GPAC qualifying event of the fall, held Tuesday afternoon at Pioneers Golf Course in Lincoln, Neb.

The University of Sioux Falls men’s golf program sent two teams to the Briar Cliff Invite held in Sioux City, Iowa. The White team finished tied for third at 305 strokes, while the Purple team was not too far behind in fifth place at 310 strokes.
