A red card early in the University of Sioux Fall’s men’s soccer home-opening match gave the Cougars a one man disadvantage that aided in Davenport University’s 2-0 victory Thursday night.

The University of Sioux Falls men’s soccer team started the season off on a positive note Saturday afternoon in Parkville, Mo., with a 3-1 win over Park University (0-1).Sophomore forward Brice Holiday (Colorado Springs, Colo.) took half the Cougar’s 10 shots, and connected with net on one shot with 12 minutes left in the game to seal the win.

The 2009 men’s squad (10-8-1 overall, 9-2-1 GPAC) finished second in the regular season conference standings and earned the No. 2 seed in the GPAC tournament.
