USF’s Gene Brooks to Speak at the National Pole Vault Summit

Sioux Falls, SD - University of Sioux Falls head track and field coach Gene Brooks will speak at the National Pole Vault Summit held in Reno, Nevada on January 29th. Brooks will join the likes of Billy Olson (former world record holder), Earl Bell (former world record holder), Scott Hoffman (former American record holder) and many other renowned Pole Vaulters to speak to college athletes and coaches.


The following day Brooks will join current USF coach Reid Ehrisman and all 11 USF pole vaulters in competition with 1,400 other athletes in 65 divisions.


Brooks was a five time national champion and eight time all-American in the Pole Vault at Concordia University. In his 18 years of coaching, four at USF, Brooks has coached athletes to 24 all-American awards, nine national championships and over 60 qualifications for the national championship meet.
