The University of Sioux Falls women’s golf team is receiving 38 votes in the first NAIA poll of the spring season. USF’s votes place them 29th overall in the country, a few positions behind GPAC rival No. 22 Dakota Wesleyan University.

The University of Sioux Falls women’s golf finished second at the second Great Plains Athletic Conference qualifier held at Pioneers Golf Course in Lincoln, Neb. The Cougars maintained their second place in the GPAC standings with the team round of 328. USF will have to make up 19 strokes next spring in the two remaining GPAC qualifiers.

The University of Sioux Falls women’s golf team finished second at Dakota Wesleyan University’s Lady Tigers Fall Invite. The Cougars entered the day in second at 334 strokes, and remained in second place with a day two scoring of 343. The event was held at Wild Oak Golf Corse Course (PAR 72/5888 Yards) in Mitchell.

The University of Sioux Falls, who won their first three tournaments, finished second at the first of four Great Plains Athletic Conference Qualifying meets. USF (322) was just two strokes behind Dakota Wesleyan University (320) in the tournament played at Elmwood Golf Course (Par 72/5,920 Yards) in Sioux Falls.

University of Sioux Falls freshman Kali Gottsleben (Watertown, S.D.) was named the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC)/Hauf Mid-American Sports Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week, announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

The University of Sioux Falls women’s golf team tallied their third tournament win of the season in just as many competitions. The Cougars won the Dana Invitational in Blair, Nebraska on Saturday with a score of 326, 21 strokes ahead of runner-up host school Dana College.

Coming off yesterday’s victory at their season-opening, home invitational, the University of Sioux Falls women’s golf team won their second consecutive tournament, this time at the Lady Red Raider Invite.

In a record-setting performance, the University of Sioux Falls women’s golf team took first place at their home invitational season-opener at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls.
