The USF volleyball team brought out the brooms Wednesday night and treated their fans to a straight-set victory over Waldorf College.

The University of Sioux Falls is among 450 NAIA, NCAA and high school teams to receive the 2009-2010 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award. The occasion marks the second straight year that the Cougars have earned their way onto the list, after the 2008-2009 squad earned the program’s first ever AVCA Team Academic Award.

The University of Sioux Falls volleyball team has posted its revised schedule on www.usfcougars.com . The schedule has been altered to address the closing of conference school Dana College.

University of Sioux Falls head volleyball coach Lisa Mathes-Peters is close to finalizing the 2010-2011 class with the signing of four more stars. Kaprice Glover, Kim Elgersma and Kristi Teunissen each add height to the Cougars roster while Maura Bickner brings talent to the setter position.
