                     SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - (#23) Sioux Falls (7-2, 6-2 NSIC) will head down the street to take on (#10) Augustana (7-2, 7-1 NSIC) this weekend for the 12th annual 'Key to the City' matchup.
QUICK HITS: Cougar Football enters the weekend following a bye week after a 23-13 road win over Wayne State just two weeks ago...Sioux Falls enters the week ranked 23rd in the d2football.com poll while receiving votes in the AFCA poll. The Coo are also one of three NSIC teams to find themselves in the NCAA Regional Rankings released last week...The Cougar offense currently sits within the top-4 of the NSIC scoring chart while averaging 30.1 points per game while the Cougar D leads the conference in interceptions with 14 on the season.
MATCHUP HISTORY: Sioux Falls is 10-21 against Augustana dating back to their first matchup in 1916 when USF thumped the Augie 46-0 which was also their largest victory against the Vikings...Since entering the DII era, The Coo is 8-3 against the Vikings with a road record of 5-0...Prior to Division II, USF found their only wins against the Vikings in 1927 with a 6-3 win and 1916 with a big 46-0 victory.
THE LAST TIME: The Cougars fell to the Vikings 49-29 in September of 2023...Although USF put up more than 415-yards more of total offense, The Coo gave up a big 29-point second quarter and were unable to score in the third... USF controlled the rushing game with 207-yards on the ground led by 
Camden Dean with 120-yards and a score along with 
Dylan Rudningen rushing for 66-yards and two scores...The defense was led by 
Eli Schlangen with seven tackles followed by 
Matt Goehring with five.
PREGAME TIDBITS: USF continues to outscore their opponents 271-201 while finding an even spread across their offensive attack...
Camden Dean continues to lead the offensive game with 518 rushing yards and seven scores along with 1,786 passing yards and 19 TD passes. Dean currently sits 7th in the NSIC in rushing yards and 6th in passing yards...
Carter Slykhuis continues to be a threat for The Coo with 746 receiving yards on the year putting him 2nd in the NSIC. Slykhuis leads USF with nine touchdowns on the year...The Cougar defense has been led by 
Andy Henson with 57 tackles on the season and 
Garret Hoffman with 51 tackles on the year while 
Matt Goehring has recorded 48...Henson leads the team with 5.5 tackles for a loss of 146-yards and a sack for a loss of 7-yards...Hoffman adds a pass break-up and a recovered fumble while Goehring leads USF with four game closing interceptions, three QB hurries, a forced fumble and a pass breakup.
